Uflytv has launched an online aviation video streaming service, featuring films on aerobatic icons, GA aircraft, formation flying, unusual aircraft, heroic missions and more.
“Think of it as ‘The Aviation Channel,’” said Tom Poberezny, former EAA AirVenture chairman and aerobatic world champion. “It provides access to vibrant programs that meet the highest network television standards.” The films can be streamed on the Internet, using a laptop, iPhone or iPad. Subscriptions covering six or 12-month plans are available.
Uflytv’s current 220 titles include some films that originally appeared on the Discovery Communication/Military Channel, while celebrities like Gary Sinese and David Hartman narrate others. As it expands its offerings, Uflytv will cover everything from ultralights to airliners to space. The video service also expects to livestream aviation events and report aviation news.
“People are going to be surprised by the breadth of content that includes rare historical footage never seen before,” said Poberezny. “Initial reactions of viewers indicate that Uflytv has universally exceeded their expectations, in terms of quality, network standards and excitement.”
Aircraft Spruce & Specialty has partnered with Uflytv and plans for the launch of the network and some yet-to-be-announced programs.
“We see tremendous educational and entertainment value in Uflytv,” said Jim Irwin, president of Aircraft Spruce & Specialty. “We are eager to see this venture succeed and endorse it wholeheartedly.”
