2018 Flying Innovation Award Winner To Be Named at Oshkosh

The big announcement is just days away. On Monday, at the start of EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the winner of the 2018 Flying Innovation Award will be revealed.

This year's contenders, selected from Flying's list of 2017 Editors' Choice Award winners, include the Garmin G1000 NXi cockpit, Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet, Mooney Ovation Ultra, Lightspeed Zulu 3 headset and ForeFlight Scout ADS-B receiver.

The Editors' Choice Award trophies will be presented on Monday, July 23, at the annual Flying party in Oshkosh by the magazine's editor-in-chief Stephen Pope. Pope will then reveal which of the five nominees is the recipient of this year's Innovation trophy, created to recognize the top achievement in all of general and business aviation worldwide.

"We're looking forward to finally revealing the winner of the 2018 Flying Innovation Award from another group of worthy competitors," Pope said. Last year's Innovation prize, the first-ever awarded, went to Honda Aircraft for the HondaJet.

Flying will announce the winner on social media immediately after the award presentation.
