Authorities in Alaska are investigating the crash of a chartered aircraft in a remote part of the state that killed all eight people on board.
The aircraft, a Cessna 441, was chartered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for travel to Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site Airport, approximately 450 miles west of Anchorage. The twin-engine Cessna had two pilots and was carrying six passengers. The military described the aircraft as a “civilian contracted aircraft.”
