Airbus Helicopters and Metro Aviation have signed a deal that could provide up to 36 H140s to the emergency medical services provider.
Metro Aviation placed an order for 12 helicopters Tuesday during Verticon in Dallas, with options for an additional 24 aircraft.
According to Airbus, the twin-engine H140 has features that make it particularly attractive to the medical emergency services industry, with a high T-shaped tail boom, large clamshell doors, and rear-loading capabilities able to accommodate intensive care stretchers and incubators.
