This 2022 Epic E1000 Is a Remarkably Fast ‘AircraftForSale’ Top Pick
Developed as an experimental kit aircraft, the Epic evolved into a certified luxury personal transport.
Each day, the team at Aircraft For Sale picks an airplane that catches our attention because it is unique, represents a good deal, or has other interesting qualities. You can read Aircraft For Sale: Today’s Top Pick at FLYINGMag.com daily.
The Epic E1000’s arrival helped to boost the selection of aircraft on the personal turboprop market and brought a dose of competition.
Since existing models like the Piper Malibu Meridian, Pilatus PC-12, and TBM series seemed to be designed for different missions, it was hard to imagine many potential buyers cross-shopping these models. The Epic seemed to take aim at the TBM, though, and for years has generated discussions comparing the two.

Enter NowWhat sets the six-place, pressurized E1000 apart is its journey from kitbuilt experimental aircraft to certified luxury traveler.
During its many years of development on the homebuilt market, the E1000 became known for its remarkable speed and climb rate. The aircraft became a popular value proposition for ambitious kitbuilders looking for maximum performance at a relatively low price.
As a certified aircraft, the E1000 remains less expensive than many other turboprops, though most buyers are more likely to be impressed by its jet-like cruising speed and 4,000 fpm climb.
This 2022 E1000 has 315 hours on the airframe, 1,200 hp Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67A turbine engine, and Hartzell five-blade propeller. The aircraft is equipped with a torque limiter and a propeller overspeed limiter. The full-feathering, reversible-pitch propeller is electrically deiced.
The IFR panel features the Garmin G1000 NXi-integrated flight deck, including a GFC 700 autopilot with flight director, yaw damper, automatic and manual trim, coupled go-around, and emergency descent protection. Additional features include a stall protection system with stick shaker and pusher, Flight Stream 510, synthetic vision, traffic advisory system, SiriusXM Weather, GarminGSR56 Connext, dual ELTs with built-in GPS and pretakeoff configuration check.
Pilots looking for a sleek, powerful turboprop known for jet-like performance should consider this 2022 Epic E1000, which is available for $3.95 million on AircraftForSale.
