The Nextant 400XTi, Nextant Aerospace's remanufactured business jet, was on display at this week’s EBACE show in Geneva, and the company came away with orders for three to be used as air ambulances in India. In addition, Aviators (the name of the Indian company) will become the exclusive sales agent for Nextant in India. The value of the sale package was listed as $15 million, or $5 million for each aircraft. Aviators currently operates helicopter air ambulances in India and is expected to begin using the jets next year.
Jay Heublein, Nextant’s global director of sales and marketing, said, “[India] is an evolved aviation market which understands the functional nature of business aviation. With a rapidly growing economy and the third largest gross domestic product in the world, government and business leaders are looking for time-efficient and cost-effective travel to support their growth strategies. The 400XTi has the range to travel point to point, anywhere on the subcontinent, even in the summer heat.”
The Nextant 400XTi is a completely rebuilt Beechjet 400A/XP with Williams FJ44-3AP engines and Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics. The XTi version has aerodynamic enhancements, including winglets for greater efficiency, and improved engine mounts with new nacelles and pylons. It is delivered with a two-year, full-aircraft warranty.
