With an apparent growing need for flight training all around the world, Cessna has secured a big order for the most popular training airplane in history, the 172 Skyhawk. ViraZH, a flight training provider in Moscow, signed a contract for 79 Skyhawks at last week's Jet Expo Russia, which took place at the Vnukovo-3 Business Aviation Center in Moscow. This order is an addition to ViraZH's fleet of new 172s. The company has already taken delivery of 11 Skyhawks from an order placed in 2011.

"We are delighted to have a strong relationship with ViraZH and are proud they have selected the Cessna 172 Skyhawk to be their training platform," said Cessna's senior vice president of sales Kriya Shortt.

While the delivery of the airplanes will be spread out, the last of the Skyhawks should be in the hands of the Russian students by this time next year. The airplanes will be placed at various flight schools in western Russia.
