An innovative new way to sell high-end airplanes and rotorcraft will debut December 12-14, 2019, when Assent Aeronautics launches its first in a series of Assent Platinum Aviation Live Auctions at Harrison Aviation, located at Spinks Airport (KFWS) in Fort Worth, Texas. Bidders may view the seven auction airplanes and one helicopter in person during the Buyer Preview Period December 10-13 in the same location.

Billed as the nation’s “first of its kind” live aircraft auction, the event is a first in a series of quarterly live auctions planned by the Fort Worth-based company, which has a long history in Texas aviation that can be traced back to the 1940s. As this is truly a “live” auction, bids will only be accepted in person; however, an approved proxy may be on hand as the representative of a buyer.

The first live auction will include the following catalog of planes: 2014 Challenger 605, 2002 Falcon 2000, 2007 Citation Mustang, two 1998 Citation Bravos, 1990 Citation V, 2018 Robinson R66 and 1977 King Air 100A.

"Assent Aeronautics is pleased to be the first dedicated, live private aircraft auction house in the world," said W. Hulsey Smith, Assent Aeronautics president. “With the recent launch of our aircraft brokerage, we are uniquely qualified to assess an airplane's value and establish its eligibility for our Assent Platinum Aviation Auctions. This is not your typical online aircraft auction, as we seek high-value aircraft owners to meet bidders who have been qualified through our vetting process to benefit from the luxury experience that should be associated with this type of sale. We want to de-mystify the aircraft acquisition experience by putting serious buyers and sellers together with the intent to move airplanes and facilitate quick closings,” Smith said.

Bidders will be offered two levels of registration, which allows the bidder and their guest access to the VIP lounge, complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and catering, preferred bidder seating, and access to view and inspect auction aircraft three days prior to auction. Both packages are discounted for bidders that register in advance.

In order to qualify as a buyer for the live auctions, bidders must register on the company’s website and submit a bidder registration form accompanied by a bank Letter of Guarantee or a notarized Escrow Deposit Confirmation. Consignors wishing to sell their turbine, turboprop, rotor-wing and/or piston aircraft at Assent’s live auctions can fill out an application. For the December live auction, prospective consigners have until November 11-15, 2019, to submit an application.
