BendixKing Launches Retrofit Panel

AeroVue

On Monday at AirVenture 2014 BendixKing announced a new flat-panel retrofit avionics solution, AeroVue, for owners of turbine aircraft that are still of great value but that have outdated avionics.

The system, BendixKing president Kevin Gould told Flying, would cost around $100,000 less than the competition, which presumably is the Garmin G1000 retrofit system. AeroVue is based on Apex, which is standard equipment in the Pilatus PC-12.

That system, it is widely known, is based on parent company Honeywell’s Primus Epic system, versions of which are in Gulfstream and Falcon wide body business jets.

STC certification of AeroVue is expected in the first half of 2015.
