Located in Boca Raton, Florida, Lynn University offers one associate degree, five aviation bachelor’s degree paths, one master’s, and many add-on certificates. Almost all of the programs Lynn offers are available to be completed online as well as in-person.

Lynn University is an FAA-approved Part 141 pilot school and flight operations are conducted at the Boca Raton Municipal Airport (KBCT), a five-minute drive from main campus.

Value
Lynn University’s tuition is relatively high. Students should expect to pay $55,000 a year for base tuition.
On top of base tuition, flight students will have additional costs for flight courses. Over the course of four years, before financial aid or scholarships, flight costs will come in around $55,000 for all necessary certificates to be a professional pilot.
Lynn accepts outside aviation scholarships to help mitigate the cost of tuition and flight. Available scholarships include the:

● LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Scholarship
● Lisa Kaminski Memorial Scholarship
The school also accepts veteran’s benefits such as the GI Bill.

The fleet of aircraft at Lynn include:
● Cessna 172s
● Diamond DA42s
● Beech Bonanzas
Graduates are eligible for the restricted ATP of 1,000 hours.
Campus Life
Lynn University’s small size allows it to focus on students and campus life. The school offers six residence halls and many on-campus dining options to help students feel at home.
Students can take part in any of the 30 university clubs and organizations to boost their resumes or just meet new people. Some of the available organizations include:

Lynn is located in Boca Raton, halfway between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale/Miami—right next to the beach.
The Bottom Line
Lynn University is a small traditional institution with many organizations for students to get involved in which complement their hybrid learning platform. The aviation department at Lynn offers many opportunities to learn by doing, including flight simulators, logging real flight time, and taking off-campus field trips.
