Located in Fort Worth, Texas, Tarrant County College offers two aviation associate degree paths and one non-credit program. The school offers both day and night classes.

Program Highlights

Tarrant County College is an FAA-approved Part 141 pilot school and flight operations are conducted at the Fort Worth Alliance Airport (KAFW).

Programs offered include:

The pilot program at Tarrant is competitive and has limited spots available each semester.

Students looking to complete a bachelor’s degree in aviation have the option to transfer credits to participating Texas universities.

The school is part of Region 4 of the National Intercollegiate Flying Association.

Value

Tarrant County College’s base tuition is reasonable. Students in an aviation degree path will pay between $3,000 and $4,000 per year, which does not include flight expenses.

On top of base tuition, over the course of two year, students on the fixed-wing track should expect to spend around $65,000 for all flight ratings. Students opting for the helicopter path will spend more at about $133,000 for the full program.

The school offers scholarships to help mitigate the cost of tuition and flight, including:

Students can also seek outside aviation scholarships.
