Lilium Enters Agreement with Heli-Eastern to Expand into China
Company is planning to sell 100 eVTOLs and develop sales, service, and vertiport infrastructure.
Lilium, the German company developing the eVTOL Lilium Jet, said it has entered an agreement to deliver 100 aircraft to Shenzhen Eastern General Aviation Co., known as Heli-Eastern, a general aviation transport and helicopter services company in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in China.
Under the agreement, Heli-Eastern plans to order the Lilium Jets and to assist Lilium in identifying sites for vertiports and other infrastructure. Following the Lilium eVTOL’s expected type certification, Heli-Eastern would operate the aircraft while providing crews and maintenance.
Lilium also announced an agreement with the Bao’an District of Shenzhen municipality to open a regional headquarters to represent the company in sales, services, and support in China and the Asia-Pacific region.
