Angel Flight Northeast Completes Horse Show Fundraiser

New Jersey equestrians stepped up to support the Northeast division of charity flight specialist Angel Flight last weekend. Angel Flight coordinates rides with volunteer pilots and aircraft owners for patients needing to travel for treatment, and/or their family members. At the fundraiser, held at Duncraven Stables outside Trenton, riders competed in jumping events and all proceeds went to Angel Flight. In one round of competition, volunteer Angel Flight pilots teamed with riders in a combination horseback/golf cart race. Times for a jumping course and golf cart slalom were combined to determine a winning team. Final overall numbers on contributions have not been released, but estimates range in tens of thousands of dollars.
