Airline Transport Professionals (ATP) has agreed to purchase up to 30 Seminoles from Piper Aircraft, the two companies jointly announced at the NBAA Convention in Las Vegas.
The deal includes a firm order for 10 Seminoles, to be delivered next year, with the option for 20 additional aircraft for delivery over the following two years. While neither company disclosed prices, the retail value of the full deal is about $18 million.
The twin-engine trainers will be equipped with Garmin G500 glass panels and will join ATP’s existing fleet of 88 Piper aircraft, including six Seminoles purchased last year. Aside from its Piper fleet, ATP also relies on 57 Cessna 172s, a CitationJet and five Diamond DA40s.
Jim Koziarski, vice president of the popular pilot training firm, says the company selected the Piper Seminole for the latest deal because of its “dispatch reliability and compatibility” with the firm’s current array of aircraft.
