Daher-Socata Reports Modest Uptick in 2013

** TBM 850** Daher-Socata

French airframer Daher-Socata released delivery figures for its TBM 850 turboprop single in 2013, and the total of 40 aircraft delivered represents an increase of 5 percent. Most of the 320-knot (FL 260, ISA conditions) turboprops went to North American buyers, with four going to Europe and three more to buyers in Brazil, China and Mexico.

Daher-Socata also picked up a couple of percentage points in market share — moving up to 20 percent from 18 percent in 2012. Results for last year rank among the four best ever since the introduction of the TBM series with the TMB 700 in 1990. In a press release, the company reported an optimistic view of sales for this year, expecting slight increases, but not a strong comeback for general aviation.
