Embraer Names Jackie Chan Brand Ambassador

At the NBAA convention in Las Vegas, Embraer named international film star and martial arts expert Jackie Chan its official brand ambassador. Over the years, the 57-year-old Chan has made more than 100 movies and has estabished himself as a big box office draw around the globe with his clever, funny and frenetic acting, which regardless of the film is always imbued with Chan's considerable charm and likeability. Chan will take delivery of an Embraer Legacy 650, which will be adorned with a paint scheme partially designed by Chan himself, which sports his name, initials and several elements that evoke his Chinese connection and the image of the dragon.

Ernie Edwards, president of Embraer Executive Jets said, “We are exceptionally excited Jackie Chan will become the newest member of our Legacy 650 family,” and noted that “Jackie’s ebullient personality, spirit of relentless innovation and commitment to society echo the core values of Embraer: people, customers, excellence, innovation, global presence, and a sustainable future. His worldwide prestige makes him an ideal brand ambassador for Embraer Executive Jets.”

While Chan could not be at the announcement, he issued a statement through Embraer in which he said that he was “looking forward to flying in this marvelous aircraft, soon,” adding that “China has become a very important market for executive aircraft and I am honored to be a part of Embraer’s efforts in my home country. I have no doubt that Embraer will be a major player in the Chinese executive jet market.
