At the NBAA annual convention in Las Vegas, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University confirmed the dates of its 2016 Wings and Waves Air Show, which will be held in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Oct. 8-9.
At the 2012 show, Wings and Waves drew more than 100,000 visitors, as well as special guests, industry leaders, graduates and current students, who witnessed performances by renowned aerobatic pilots and jet teams including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
Kicking off its anniversary at a homecoming event at its Prescott, Arizona, location earlier this year, Embry-Riddle displayed a restored WACO that was used in the school's early days. The WACO will tour the United States as part of the university's yearlong celebration, which they hope will culminate in their most successful air show yet.
