LSA Roadshow Touring Florida

Five manufacturers of Light Sport Aircraft (LSAs) will launch a statewide "roadshow" tour following the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, which opens today in Sebring, Florida. Bill Canino of SportairUSA said, "We wanted to create an intimate atmosphere for purchasers to see planes, without the noise of a show." Jim Julius of Sport Planes Florida said, "Buyers like to get up close and personal with the planes and the people behind the planes." "It's [also] the perfect way for flight schools to show their customers what Light Sport Aircraft are all about," said John Hurst, a representative of Flight Design. Other participants include American Legend Aircraft and Rans Aircraft. The tour will visit six cities, running from 10 am to 3 pm, on the following schedule: Jan. 25-Naples (KAPF) at Naples Air Center; Jan. 26-Tamiami (KTMB) at Premier One Aviation; Jan. 27 — Orlando (KORL) at Air Orlando Aviation; Jan 28 — Spruce Creek (7FL6 — meet at " the Tree" or call 386-788-9528 for info); Ocala — Leeward Air Ranch (FD04); and Tallahassee (KTLH) at FlightLine Group.
