More than 200 volunteer NBAA members and staff will don work gloves this Saturday to help construct a new aviation-themed playground in the Orlando area. Working in conjunction with KaBOOM, a nonprofit organization that specializes in such projects, NBAA will join local residents in the Hollowbrook Apartments community in constructing the facility. Located near Orlando Executive Airport, the neighborhood is home to some 200 children who will soon enjoy a safe place to slide, climb, run and crawl, all with a backdrop that will help further an appreciation for things that fly. Work at the site is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with the ribbon-cutting slated for 3 p.m. that afternoon.
