The sudden shutdown of service for air-cab operator SATSair came as a surprise to many. When the company suspended service on Oct. 23, the official reason was "a combination of circumstances." President and CEO Steve Hanvey has since defended his company's business model, but has so far declined to go into details on the circumstances leading to the service interruption. Hanvey did acknowledge that the economic decline had an impact on his company, and he suggested that SATSair could reemerge after the current issues are resolved.
