SimCom, one of the country's largest providers of advanced flight training, recently announced the acquisition of 14 simulators from FlightSafety International, bringing the company's simulator tally to a total of 59 and broadening its training capabilities throughout the United States.** **
The deal will bring a variety of new piston and turboprop simulators to the company’s large existing repertoire of training equipment, and includes the transfer of a range of models such as the Beech King Air B200, the Cessna Conquest I and II, the Beech Baron 58 and the Piper Cheyenne I/II and III, just to name a few.
“Even though we have tended to add level-C and -D full-motion jet simulators over the past few years, we will always consider turboprop and piston pilots to be a very important part of our business,” SimCom founder and CEO Wally David said. “In fact, many of our costumers tell us they are flying turboprops and pistons more than ever due to their utility and cost of operation.”
According to SimCom COO Tracy Brannon, implementation of the simulator transfer will begin immediately and should be finished by the end of the year.
With headquarters in Orlando, Florida, SimCom provides training at multiple locations throughout the United States.
