EBACE 2014

Take a look at some of the more exciting airplanes and products on display this year at EBACE 2014.

HondaJet provided an update on its certification program and had many high-tech gadgets at its indoor exhibit. Read more about the HondaJet here. Flying

Aerion announced that it is adding another engine to its supersonic business jet concept airplane, named the AS2, although it has not yet secured a manufacturing partner. Read more about the Aerion AS2 here. Flying

Gulfstream’s indoor exhibit showed off five models. The sixth airplane in the luxury-jet-maker’s lineup is an extended range version of the G650, which Gulfstream introduced at the show and has the same exterior configuration as the initial model. Read more about the G650ER here. Flying

Dassault brought a new ultra-long-range airplane design to the show. The new 8X increases the Falcon Jet family’s top range to 6,450 nm, 500 nm more than the company’s 7X. Read more about the Falcon 8X here. Flying

The future of Piaggio Aero was secured by the acquisition of a middle-eastern company called Mubadala Development Company. With new investment dollars available, Piaggio introduced a new version of its uniquely shaped twin-pusher — the Avanti Evo. Read more about Piaggio's Avanti Evo here. Flying

Bombardier unveiled a mockup of its largest offering to date — the Global 7000, which showed off the luxury business jet’s exclusive interior in four cabin zones. Flying

With EBACE being down the street from the Pilatus headquarters, the company took the opportunity to make a big splash by opening up its order book for the new PC-24 business jet, announcing 84 orders that fill the delivery positions through 2019. Read more about the Pilatus PC-24 here. Flying

EBACE marked the first show where Cessna and Beechcraft showed off its product lines under the collective Textron Aviation banner. Read more about Textron Aviation at EBACE here. Flying

Honeywell has signed contracts with Inmarsat and AT&T to provide connectivity through hardware that doesn’t take up too much of the useful load of its customers’ business jets. Flying

With Nextant’s remanufactured 400XTi featured in the static display area the company announced it is adding a financing department and expanding its European sales network. Flying

With Pilatus celebrating its 75th anniversary this summer, the company created a special logo displayed on its single-engine turboprop PC-12. Flying

Bombardier showed off an impressive line of luxury business jets outside the Palexpo convention center. Flying

At the top of Gulfstream’s static display was the fasted certified business jet — the G650, which has enjoyed an immensely successful introduction with more than 60 airplanes delivered to date and a strong order book. Flying

Dassault’s Falcon-jet family rolled out the red carpet for its customers and was a dominant feature at the static display outside the Palexpo convention center. Flying

Socata had its new and aerodynamically improved TBM 900 on display. The French company took an order for the single-engine turboprop at the show. Flying

Brazilian bizjet maker Embraer Executive Jets was front and center at the static display, with five of the airplanes in its growing family, from the Phenom 100 (not shown) through the Lineage 1000. Flying

With Cessna’s Caravan and Citation business jets alongside Beechcraft’s Baron and King Airs, Textron Aviation showed off its turbo prop and jet products as a unified front. Read more about Textron Aviation at EBACE here. Flying

With Aeris Aviation as the exclusive distributor of the Eclipse 550 in Europe, an airplane owned by Iron Maiden lead-singer and Aeris executive chairman Bruce Dickinson and the company’s CEO David Hayman was on display at Eclipse Aerospace’s static display. Flying
