What you can't get in the G3 upgrade to the SR20 is the Cirrus Perspective by Garmin integrated flat-panel avionics package, which is a $48,000 upgrade in the Cirrus SR22. What you do get with the SR20 is the still-outstanding capability of the Avidyne Entegra flat-panel avionics system, which interfaces with the S-Tec 55X autopilot, dual Garmin GNS 430 navigators and more. The airplane flown for this report has the GTS trim package with leather seats, tinted windows and polished spinner. The airplane is outfitted with dual Garmin GNS 430W navigators and the S-Tec 55X autopilot with flight director. Utilities with the GTS package include datalink aviation weather through XM, L-3 Stormscope lightning detection and SkyWatch traffic awareness, Avidyne EMax engine and fuel monitoring, CMax electronic approach charts, recognition lighting system and more. The Cirrus Airframe Parachute System, AmSafe airbag seatbelts and Garmin TAWS terrain awareness are standard. All Cirrus airplanes come with an extensive two-year/600- hour maintenance warranty.
