Remos GX

Remos GX Robert Goyer

** Even the prop, a two-blade Sensenich ground-adjustable model, is composite.**
While quite different from Part 23 panels, the avionics package on the GX gives you electronic engine gauges, autopilot and more. Seats are adjustable by removing and then repositioning them.
Fowler-style flaps help slow things down in the pattern.
The GX has been recently updated with carbon-fiber wings that fold for easy storage.
A single brake lever works with nose-wheel steering, a great solution.
LED arrays are used for recognition lights.
The airplane flown for this report was outfitted with a two-screen Dynon EFIS LCD package with PFD and MFD with electronic instrumentation and mechanical backups, Garmin GPSMap 496 portable mounted in the panel with an Air Gizmo mount, Garmin GTX 330 Mode S transponder, Garmin SL30 navcom, Garmin GMA 340 audio panel, as well as a TruTrak autopilot and electric trim. A Magnum brand whole-airplane recovery parachute system is a $5,900 option that was not installed in the airplane flown for this report.
