In the new post, Calio will oversee Raytheon’s four business units and company-wide functions, including technology and engineering; enterprise services and digital; and operations, quality, environmental, health and safety, and supply chain functions. He will report directly to chairman and CEO Greg Hayes.

“Chris is a tested leader who has successfully steered Pratt & Whitney through one of the most dynamic and challenging periods in aerospace history,” Hayes said in a statement.

Raytheon said Calio has more than 20 years of executive experience and has worked in aerospace and defense for the past decade.

Eddy, currently senior vice president and chief operations officer of Pratt & Whitney, joined the unit in 2016 and previously worked at General Electric Aviation, Sikorsky Aircraft, and Bell Textron.
