ForeFlight has introduced the latest update to its Sentry series of portable ADS-B units, the Sentry Plus, joining the original Sentry and Sentry Mini for use on a wide range of aircraft when linked to an iPad.
The lightweight plastic-case Sentry Plus builds on previous models, allowing for subscription-free ADS-B traffic and weather information, and adding a list of features to include carbon monoxide (CO) monitoring and track logging.
Battery life has also seen a boost, to 18 hours, according to the company. The high-contrast OLED screen shows five in-flight metrics for G-load, CO status, speed, GPS accuracy, and battery level.
Retail price is set at $799, and it’s available through outlets such as Sporty’s, with an expected in-stock date of June 21.
The total list of features includes:
- Dual-band ADS-B traffic
- CO monitor and alerts
- FIS-B weather (in supported regions)
- Automatic on-device track logging and importing
- 18-Hour battery life
- Live and recorded G-load metrics
- OLED data display
- WAAS GPS
- AHRS for backup attitude
- European FLARM traffic
- Wi-Fi client support
