Luxury watchmaker Bell & Ross launched a new watch in its BR-X1 aviation collection. HyperSteller is designed to function within the boundaries of the atmosphere — and beyond. Mechanical watches such as HyperStellar have been found to be more reliable in outerspace than those with electronic motor systems. The watch shows the date, hours, minutes and seconds, and has a 30-minute timer. HyperStellar is limited to 250 pieces at $19,900 each.
With its anodized aluminum and titanium components, HyperStellar combines strength and light weight. To provide extra protection, the watch has a bumper made of titanium and rubber. It resists water, extreme temperature, corrosion, impact, acceleration, pressure and vibration.
