Starting a new company is like starting a new relationship, except unlike a relationship, you can’t ghost the business when things get tough. While Flying has been around for almost 100 years, the business is new to me and I have lots of dreams regarding its potential.
The thing I have learned through starting various ventures is how important the team is to being successful. In fact, in a media business, the content team is 100 percent of the success.
We are starting to add members to the Flying team. In the past week, we have added:
- A head of social media
- Two new editors
- A head of product
- An account executive
- A journalist to cover pilot education and training
We’re now looking to fill four new roles in editorial, including journalists to cover:
- Aviation news
- Military aviation
- Business-to-business news
- Corporate aviation
