Breezy Crash Closes Oshkosh

The 9 a.m. incident closed the airport for more than an hour as rescue crews worked to put out a fire. Video of the scene shot by WBAY TV showed large flames and black smoke rising from an area beyond rows of Oshkosh trucks on the airport's east side.

The pilot, 74-year-old Jim Oeffinger, was reported in critical condition and died from his injuries that afternoon. The 21-year-old passenger remains in serious condition.
