Each day, the team at Aircraft For Sale picks an airplane that catches our attention because it is unique, represents a good deal, or has other interesting qualities. You can read Aircraft For Sale: Today’s Top Pick at FLYINGMag.com daily.
While Cessna built several light and medium twins from the 1950s to the ’70s, the company still felt there were niches it needed to fulfill in order to compete with rivals like Piper. After considering the market for four-seat light twin trainers, Cessna decided to go bigger instead with the T303 Crusader, a six-seat model that gave passengers plenty of space.
Cessna built the Crusader around a number of thoughtful features that are attractive to passengers and pilots, such as a large airstair entry door on the left side of the cabin and counter-rotating propellers that make the twin easier to control when an engine fails. The updated panel in the aircraft for sale today adds significantly to the attraction.
This 1983 Crusader has 10,440 hours on the airframe, 365 hours since overhaul on each of its 250 hp Continental TSIO-520 engines, 1,060 hours since overhaul on its left McCauley propeller, and 460 hours since overhaul on the right propeller.
The IFR panel includes a Garmin GMA 35C remote audio panel, GTN 750 GPS/nav/com, King KX 155 nav/com, Garmin GTX 345 transponder, Adidyne FlightMax EX500 MFD, JPI EDM 760 digital engine monitor, Aerospace Logic digital tachometer, and Cessna 400 autopilot with yaw damper.
Pilots who want to give their passengers airline-style first-class comfort while delivering them quickly to their destination should consider this 1983 Cessna T303 Crusader, which is available for $229,000 on AircraftForSale.
