Each day, the team at Aircraft For Sale picks an airplane that catches our attention because it is unique, represents a good deal, or has other interesting qualities. You can read Aircraft For Sale: Today’s Top Pick at FLYINGMag.com daily.
The TTx high-performance four-place single does not look like other Cessnas in part because it evolved from experimental models built by Lancair and Columbia. Indeed, its low wing, fixed gear, and sleek shape might have some observers mistaking it for a Cirrus SR22.
The two aircraft do have many features in common and compete in the same segment. The Cessna lost out to the popular Cirrus when both were new, with the Cirrus airframe parachute giving that model a distinct marketing advantage.
On the used market, a Cessna TTx like the aircraft for sale today can present a compelling value proposition. While Cessna tends to cost less while outperforming the Cirrus by certain measures, it is a sharp-looking design that flies fast and has won over many pilots who prefer its handling to that of its Cirrus rivals.
This 2015 Cessna TTx has 685 hours on its airframe and 310 hp Continental TSIO-550 engine. The aircraft is equipped with automatic air conditioning, TKS deicing system, oil cooler with Vernatherm winterization kit, Oregon Aero sport seats, Precise Flight speedbrakes, Rosen sun visors, heated propeller, and built-in oxygen.
The IFR panel includes Garmin G2000 avionics with GMA 36 digital remote audio panel, GTX 33ES transponder, GDU 1400 PFD and MFD, dual GIA 63 GPS/nav/coms, Garmin terrain awareness system, GTC touchscreen controller, GEA 71 engine/airframe computer, GRS 77 AHRS, GDC 74A air data computer, GMC 720 auto flight controller system, GFC 700 autopilot, go-around switch ESI 1000 L-3 Trilogy backup airspeed, altimeter and attitude indicator, Garmin SafeTaxi and FliteCharts, SiriusXM weather and radio, TAWS-B, GTS 800 traffic advisory system, and synthetic vision.
Pilots looking for a modern, high-performance four-place traveling aircraft should consider this 2015 Cessna TTx T240, which is available for $698,000 on AircraftForSale.
