2019 Lancair LX7-20 [Southwest Aero]

For pilots who own high-performance piston singles, turboprops are a tempting next step, though complexity and cost can be prohibitive. The speed-record-setting Lancair IV-P line of pressurized four-place kitplanes, which could be fitted with turbines, offered an attractive DIY option.
But a homebuilt turboprop can seem like a long reach for even the handiest hobbyists, which is why most are piston powered. The LX7 conversion takes a different approach.
For years RDD Enterprises has been reworking existing Lancair VI-P airframes with new wings and systems designed to make the aircraft easier to fly while maintaining their best high-speed traits. The resulting LX7s, like today’s aircraft for sale, offer blistering turbine performance in a neat, four-place package that suits the needs of many pilots looking to step up to a new level of performance.
This 2019 Lancair LX7 has 570 hours on the airframe and on its 550 hp Pratt & Whitney PT6A-20 turbine engine and Hartzell four-blade propeller. The pressurized aircraft has a ceiling of 28,000 feel msl, maximum takeoff weight of 3,850 pounds, empty weight of 2,319 pounds, and useful load of 1,531 pounds. Cruise speed is 285 knots at 28 gph.
The IFR panel features Garmin 3GX avionics with PFD and MFD screens, Garmin GTN 750 GPS/nav/com, Garmin GFC 500 autopilot, and ADS-B In and Out. Additional equipment includes a BRS parachute, air conditioning, electric seats, deice system on wings and empennage, heated propeller, windshield TKS, and onboard oxygen system.
Piston pilots who wish to step up to a turboprop with a more compact design and a lower price than new models from Daher, Piper, and other legacy manufacturers, should take a look at this 2019 Lancair LX7-20, which is available at AircraftForSale.
