NAFI Sets New Date for Annual Summit in Florida
Original event was postponed due to Hurricane Milton.
The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) Summit, postponed due to Hurricane Milton, will take place in Daytona Beach, Florida, from January 13-15.
The event, which is touted as an opportunity for flight instructors of all levels to increase their skills through mentorship, presentations, and peer support, was originally scheduled for October 15-17 at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University campus.
Exhibitor setup begins January 13, and the full program begins the next day at 8 a.m. ET. Paid registrations from the canceled event will be applied to the new dates. Those who requested and received a refund need to reregister. The organization's website has been updated with the most current event information, including accommodations.

This year, the event will focus on trends in aviation training, including how the impactModernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSAIC) could affect it and the application of artificial intelligence.
“Last year’s summit was successful because of the strong technical program delivered by industry leaders and experts. This year will be the same," NAFI president Paul Preidecker said. "But instead of addressing six themes as we did last year, this year we decided to bring more focus by supporting three very important ones: training the trainer, mentorship, and peer support, and pilot health and well-being.”
