US Aviation Academy, one of the largest aviation schools in the country, has announced plans to expand its fleet by taking delivery of 38 Tecnam aircraft through the end of the year with the option for 52 more by 2027.

According to Tecnam, the aircraft will be a mix of the single-engine P2010, powered by the Lycoming IO-360, and the twin-engine P2006T MKII, powered by the Rotax 912S3.

"At US Aviation Academy, we are committed to providing our students with the best training experience possible, and the addition of these new Tecnam aircraft to our fleet is a testament to that commitment," Scott Sykes, director of US Aviation Academy, said in a statement. "The Tecnam P2010 and P2006T MKII are exceptional training aircraft that offer advanced avionics, reliability, and the performance required for a comprehensive pilot training program.”

The aircraft can be used for both VFR and IFR training.

“These aircraft offer state-of-the-art avionics, exceptional performance, and operational efficiency, making them ideal for student pilots preparing for their future careers," said Giovanni Pascale Langer, Tecnam’s managing director.

The flight school offers private and commercial certificates and airline pathway programs that enable qualified applicants to interview with Delta, United, and Southwest. It also offers training in aircraft maintenance and dispatcher careers.

US Aviation Academy operates a fleet of approximately 175 aircraft across locations in Missouri, Georgia, New York, and Texas.
