Television host and former NFL superstar Michael Strahan was one of six people who went space Saturday morning as part of Blue Origin's NS-19 mission.
Laura Shepard Churchley, the eldest daughter of the first American to fly to space and fifth person to walk on the moon, Alan Shepard, will also be on board, along with four other paying customers.
The crew flew aboard the New Shepard rocket, which made its 19th trip to space. The rocket is the namesake of Shepard Churchley’s father. It will take them to the Kármán line—the internationally-recognized beginning of space.
The launch was originally set for Thursday but was delayed due to high winds.
